About Colorado Native Plants
My name is Andrew Wright and I am the owner of Colorado Native Plants. I started this business in 2013 to help make native plants more widely available in Colorado. I also wish to create landscapes with native plants to help promote the beauty and sustainability of native plants as well as to help save water, one of our most precious resources. I have had a life long love affair with native plants that actually began in Colorado. My very first plant purchase was a Colorado Blue Spruce in Manitou Springs, CO when I was 8 years old.
I have a B.S. in Geography from the University of Missouri Kansas City. I have worked for two nursery and landscaping companies, and have experience with virtually every aspect of the plant industry, from greenhouse growing to landscaping. I moved to Colorado in 2012 and since then have worked for a popular plant nursery/greenhouse and landscape company in Denver and as a Horticulturist at a leading country club in Denver. I have owned my own very small business in Missouri & Kansas and sold native tallgrass prairie plants and created native landscapes in several locations. I love to hike and enjoy soaking in all the beauty Colorado has to offer.
